Android: HELM, MAP & Launcher
44.2 MBHELM 206, MAP 110, Launcher 31 and shared modules with OpenCPN sources. No chart data, OEM libraries or private signing. Source checks passed; no new APK build.
Download source package ↓FROM THE IDEA TO YOUR WORKBENCH
Downloads are coherent source snapshots. They identify what is included, which dependencies you need and what has actually been tested.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Start with the component you need. Read its current state and open items first.
Device model, connections, power and tools need to match your boat.
Build the sources, run targeted checks, then test the physical assembly and installation. Each package identifies missing measurements.
A better mount, a supplier or a clearer wiring drawing can help as much as new code.

HELM 206, MAP 110, Launcher 31 and shared modules with OpenCPN sources. No chart data, OEM libraries or private signing. Source checks passed; no new APK build.
Download source package ↓Shared interface for instruments, audio, sonar and routes. Original runtime source, sample configuration and tests. Connected services remain separate dependencies.
Download source package ↓Small read-only Python/Leaflet application for gateway GPS sources. Includes synthetic tests and installation, without actual positions or credentials.
Download source package ↓Rust receiver with state synchronisation and original librespot adaptations. Existing MIT licences are retained. Spotify access and audio hardware are separate requirements.
Download source package ↓Original sound and equalizer extensions bound to an upstream version. Ten core/parity tests passed; no new complete Pi/audio operating test.
Download source package ↓Original host sources and required original runtime components with a portable wheel build. Current Pico firmware is a separate package; physical calibration profiles are not included.
Download source package ↓Original C/PIO firmware including clip experiment revision 0.7.13. 25 offline tests passed; flashing, a new ARM build and acoustic testing were not performed for this package.
Download source package ↓Original decoders, intermediate representation, supported RX5/Navionics writer paths and synthetic tests. OEM probes, third-party runtimes and charts remain separate. Not a finished plotter product.
Download source package ↓Parametric design, placement and wiring sources. A portable adapter can generate the nominal model. Physical fit, materials and active electronics still require checks.
Download source package ↓Design, connection contract and AVR firmware with original reference bodies. 15 host firmware cases passed. Analogue stability and actual Yamaha operation remain open.
Download source package ↓Sources with 200 required original reference bodies, STEP and connection data. Two individual print recipes were generated offline; the complete assembly was not recomputed. Known print and functional faults remain documented.

A €75 display makes getting started interesting. An installed boat system includes more. We show its components rather than counting unknown costs as zero. Updated: 1 November 2026.
| Component | What it includes | Evidenced price status |
|---|---|---|
| Display | One Lumina/K706; €75 according to my own purchase report. Count a second device separately. | €75 · owner report |
| Pi and storage | Raspberry Pi 5, 8 GB; cooling enclosure and 64 GB microSD are documented in the inventory. | Purchase prices not recorded |
| Power | DC converters, fuses, wiring and power for the chosen devices. | Setup-dependent · open |
| Audio | USB 5.1 sound card documented; amplifier, speakers and acoustic setup depend on the boat. | No evidenced package price |
| Sonar and sensors | Examined fishfinder, Pico, adapters and sensors for the chosen configuration. | Purchase prices not recorded |
| Enclosures and fabrication | Count print material, screws, boards, connectors, printing and soldering separately. | Material + fabrication open |
| Installation and shipping | Installation, cable routing, local sourcing, shipping and possible import costs. | Country- and boat-dependent |
Inventory records confirm core components but contain no reliable purchase-price fields for them. Labour, shipping and imports remain open. We therefore give neither a misleading total nor a blanket comparison with a finished plotter.
Recorded inventory includes a four-way RCA connector at R24.38, a fuse holder at R18.57 and an HW64 converter at R72.10, each excluding VAT. These historical individual values were checked on 1 November; that does not confirm purchase date, current availability or shipping. They do not automatically all belong in the same variant.
Venterior V15-2 print preparation estimates around 338 g of PETG including supports and a test piece. This is a slicer estimate, not measured consumption or a fabrication price. Alternatives must match function, dimensions and connections. Local suppliers and assembled modules are particularly useful contributions.

In South Africa, sourcing is often harder than the code. We collect exact parts, alternatives and local fabrication options. Stock, shipping and assembly belong in an honest cost comparison.
Published sources contain specific variants and existing connection and test data. Functionally suitable alternatives and local fabrication help in other countries. Not every variant has already been physically assembled and tested.
